Rs 100 crore has been allocated for the Angamaly-Sabari road project, with alignment details pending. The Sabari rail project, extending from Chengannur to Pamba, is also being considered. Specific allocations for track doubling works include Rs 500 crore for Turavur-Ambalapuzha, Rs 365 crore for Thiruvananthapuram-Kanyakumari, Rs 102.5 crore for Kumbalam-Thuraiyur, Rs 105 crore for Ernakulam-Kumbalam, Rs 11.5 crore for Kuruppanthara-Chengannur, and Rs 1.2 crore for Ambalapuzha-Haripad. The Thiruvananthapuram division has received Rs 47 lakh for accommodating long trains. Other allocations include Rs 1 crore for the Kollam Track Machine Satellite Depot, Rs 59 lakh for additional pavement at Aluva, and Rs 1 lakh for a new pit line in Ernakulam.
