Then my friend.. you must understand that, that software doesn't even work without entering the locomotive type... and as far as the calculation is concerned... if one knows the right formula, both with/without locomotive can do the same result. The only thing that affects the final result is the incorrect data (length of carriages & locomotive) and I hope that the person who developed that software has already taken care if it.

No issues with the dev, as the app designed by him is perfectly fine, but i was only clarifying about the speed. As the track permits only 150, so it can go marginally above i.e. 151 or max 152 but it cant go upto 155 or more, as then the lp would be liable for penalty which can be as harsh as losing the job.
So 155 speed calculated by you as per the speed calculator was incorrect.

Well... now what can I say, as it can be an everlasting debate on Bhopal Shatabdi at MPS or Bhopal Shatabdi over-speeding.... but one thing on which I shall agree with you is the regulations regarding speed etc. and 152 or 155 is just a marginal difference.

Bro 150 ho ya 155kmph.. Difference is not that much. I have personally seen LP's over-speeding while foot-plating in Bhopal Shatabdi. No big deal at 155. It happens at high speed zones eg: Asaoti, Sholaka, Chatta... till Agra.
