The number of air-conditioned coaches is increasing while the number of general coaches remains limited at two to three. Despite the limited availability, around 20,000 general tickets are sold daily, with the situation being worst for Delhi and Mumbai. While multiple express trains run to Mumbai, only the Gorakhdam Express connects Gorakhpur to Delhi.
