Happy Pongal ,Sankranti to all friends in IRI .
In tamilnadu it is 4 days festival time bhogi was yesterday ,,Pongal today ,matu Pongal tomorrow and Kannum Pongal on 17 th .All state govt office will open from Wednesday .local Govt staff as usual will have Lazy Thursday and Friday and may come into** WORK Mode ** from 23 January onwards****

I am too from Punjab (Amritsar) and I came here to Chennai to admit my relative in Stanley Medical College (having Tamilnadu domnicle but studied in Punjab)for Bsc Paramedical course.
Chennai has very good medical facilities, it is having very old Government colleges like Madras Medical College and Stanley Medical College (started before some 250-300 years old). We can find atleast 4-5 doctors/clinics everywhere on the main roads/streets. Healthcare in Chennai is really good as compared to North India. Infact Tamil Nadu has more number of MBBS seats than...

Pongal was more interesting in 1980s when there were greeting cards sold in shops and I remember sending card to my relatives and getting from them also. The cards I sent ranged from god photo to Rajini photo.
