Yo, been a minute since I last did a travel vlog. :p So, this train got cancelled both a week before and a week after my trip. That caused a bunch of cancellations and my ticket got upgraded from SL to 3A. It's the first time my ticket has gotten upgraded. Turns out, my coach had a bunch of people with upgraded tickets too. Anyway, the train got rescheduled and ended up leaving the source two hours late. Gomti Nagar station in Lucknow used to be a small stop with just one platform. Now it's this huge station with six platforms and a bunch of ongoing construction. Sadly, the station still lacks a lot of stuff and there's only a few things available there. The train was pretty empty with lots of empty seats. I got a lower berth after the upgrade [sadly lost my side lower] and sat there, but the side lower remained empty until we reached Bihar. A few people got on before that from Gonda or Basti. Even Gorakhpur had hardly any passengers. It wasn't until nightfall and when we reached stations like Siwan and Chhapra that the crowd started coming in and the coach got full. Either way, I slept through most of it and woke up somewhere before New Jalpaiguri. The train had a thirty minute stop at New Bongaigon because of a loco change [it doesn't take the direct route to GHY, instead it takes a loop]. I stepped out in heavy rain hoping to get a shot of the loco, but the rain was crazy and stopped me from going to the front. I walked along the tracks as we approached the end of the journey near GoalPara Town. We also crossed the massive Brahmaputra river on this route. We finally reached KYQ about three hours late. The station seemed to be under renovation, especially a couple of platforms. I took a few pictures, gonna upload them soon.

Mujhe upgrade hone ke baad lower berth mili [bichwali lower, afsos ki baat, gayi]. Maine wahan pe baith gaya par wahan ki bichwali lower berth Bihar tak khali hi rahi. Humne GoalPara Town ke aas paas safar ka ant kiya aur raaste mein humne Brahmaputra nadi ko bhi paar kiya. KYQ pe hum ~3 ghante late pahuche.
