Umesh Nagar in the Khagaria direction, connecting to the Barauni-Katihar rail line. Additionally, a 7 km long bypass line from Ratanpur to Munger will also be doubled. This project is expected to improve train services between Munger and Bhagalpur. The project was approved in the recent budget, and a survey was conducted with ₹50 crore allocated for it. The doubling of the line and the bypass will be completed in stages, with the construction commencing soon.

खगड़िया दिशा में उमेश नगर तक लाइन डबल की जाएगी और यह लाइन बरौनी-कटिहार रेल लाइन से जुड़ेगी। इसके साथ ही रतनपुर से मुंगेर तक 7 किलोमीटर लंबी बाईपास लाइन को भी दोहरीकरण किया जाएगा। इससे मुंगेर और भागलपुर के बीच की रेल सेवाएँ सुधरेंगी। बजट में इस प्रोजेक्ट को मंजूरी दी गई थी और उसके बाद सर्वे किया गया, जिसके लिए ₹50 करोड़ आवंटित किए गए थे। अब इस प्रोजेक्ट पर काम जल्द ही शुरू होगा।

Khagaria direction mein Umesh Nagar tak line double ki jaayegi aur yeh line Barauni-Katihar rail line se connect hogi. Munger station is in ER but Munger bridge is in ECR. That's why so much slack is given for all trains at Munger station

95% of the entire Bridge which is in water & land before Sabdulpur Jn is under ECR. 5% part which is in Munger city is under ER I think

No, majority part of the bridge comes under Munger district. Almost Half part of the Ganges water flow through Munger while another half through Sabdalpur,( BGS) part. So, the ratio of control over bridge may be 60:40 between ECR and ER.

Yes ECR has major control I think. In system map of Malda Div ending point is marked before water & very close to Munger station , so it is controlled by ECR if I am correct
