Return journey Charbagh se dopahar 2:45 PM mein start hota hai aur raat 10 PM mein Meerut mein pahunchta hai. Train mein average 60-65% seats khali chal rahi hain. Up-down dono aur se 65 se 70% seats khali reh ja rahi hain, isliye isko Varanasi tak karne ki taiyaari ki ja rahi hai. Iska proposal taiyaar kar liya gaya hai. Railway officers ko umeed hai ki jaldi hi isko hari jhandi mil jaegi. Officers ko umeed hai ki iska sanchalan Varanasi tak hone se passengers ki संख्या badhegi. Gorakhpur se Lucknow tak chalne wali Vande Bharat mein bhi passengers ki संख्या kam rehti thi, lekin fir iska sanchalan Gorakhpur se Lucknow aur fir Prayagraj tak shuru kar diya gaya. On the contrary, it was speeded up by some minutes so that it doesn't conflict with the VB. If IR wants to do something, atleast run this VB in reverse direction. That would mean it would complement the Rajya Rani, not be in competition with it.

Funny thing is that they could have just added 6 or so AC coaches to Rajya Rani and called it a day; if they so really wanted folks to have AC travel here. No need to run a separate train and waste more fuel.

Is wajah se, yaatri is route par chalne wali Rajya Rani Express aur Nauchandi Express ko zyada pasand kar rahe hain. Halanki ye semi-high-speed train hai, lekin Meerut se Lucknow tak pahunchne mein 7 ghante se zyada time lagta hai. Varanasi tak route extend karne ka maqsad hai ki passengers ki number badhe, khass kar Lucknow aur Varanasi ke beech jaane walon ke liye. Vande Bharat Express aane ke baad, abhi chalne wali shuttle train aur Bareilly Varanasi Express jaise trains se yaatriyon ko zyada options milenge aur isse Vande Bharat Express ki occupancy 80-90% tak ja sakti hai.
