During March 2019, one rake of the 'Kanniyakumari Express & Pearl City Express' Rake Sharing Arrangement (RSA) pair was converted to a Linke-Hofmann-Busch (LHB) Rake. At the same time two other rakes were already running with Utkrisht coaches while the fourth rake was still a conventional ICF rake. This enabled a rare occurrence where a single train would run with three different rake types on three consecutive days.
