The sleeper Vande Bharat will run on 16 coaches, including 11 three AC, four second AC, and one first AC coach. Its maximum speed will be 130 km/h, slightly slower than the chair car version due to the increased weight of the sleeper coaches. The Railway Safety Commission will conduct inspections of the sleeper Vande Bharat trains soon, aiming to complete the trials by August. While the initial plan was to launch the sleeper Vande Bharat in March, the Railway Minister has confirmed that the path for its launch will be cleared by mid-August. The Railway Board is currently discussing the possibility of running a 16-coach sleeper Vande Bharat Express on the Patna-Delhi route, but no formal communication has been received by the East Central Railway zone regarding its operationalization.
