After CRS is completed today in between Jhusi and Prayagraj Rambagh of Varanasi -Prayagraj section, Daraganj station(built 1899) will be no longer functioning and will be turned into small museum and railway guesthouse.

But, the present status of BBSN station doesn't looks like to work as alternate option for BBS to de-congest. There is still lack of passenger facilities & amenities. only four P/Fs are operational having a small station building. Only few MEMUs are stopping there presently.
