Currently Shatabdi Express is the fastest train between Chennai and Bangalore takes 5 hours. 5 hours was the running time of Brindavan Express even 15 years back before electric locos and LHB coaches were introduced.Unless running time between Chennai -Bengaluru sector or Mumbai-Bengaluru sector is reduced, having limited speed increase will not benefit the passenger, it will help railways to makeup if there is a delay
