You've likely heard of AC, sleeper, and general coaches in trains, but have you ever heard of EMU, DEMU, and MEMU trains? They operate according to specific needs. Let's explore how...
more... these trains differ from each other. EMU trains, or Electric Multiple Units, are used in large cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, and Chennai. They consist of three types of coaches: a driving coach, a motor/power coach, and a trailer coach. The driving coach is located at the front of the train, where the loco-pilot controls the train. The power coach, with its traction motors, is placed after every three coaches. Trailer coaches are exclusively for passengers. EMU trains can reach speeds of 60 to 100 kilometers per hour. MEMU trains, or Main Electric Multiple Units, are a more advanced and powerful version of EMU trains. They can cover distances exceeding 200 kilometers and achieve higher speeds compared to EMU trains. A notable feature of MEMU trains is the absence of toilets. Similar to EMU trains, MEMU trains have a power coach after every four coaches. DEMU trains, or Diesel Multiple Units, are operated using diesel engines. They come in three types: Diesel Mechanical DEMU, Diesel Hydraulic DEMU, and Diesel Electric DEMU. Each type features a power coach after every three coaches, making them energy-efficient trains. DEMU trains are not designed for long-distance journeys. If the engine fails, it cannot be replaced.
India mein sabse bada transport ka saधन train hai. Inka network bahut lamba hai, jiske wajah se log inme safar karna pasand karte hain. Trains mein aapne AC coach, sleeper aur general coach ke naam to sune honge, lekin kya aapne EMU, DEMU aur MEMU trains ke baare mein suna...
more... hai? Inka chalan jarurat ke hisaab se kiya jata hai. Aaj aapko bataenge ki yeh trains ek doosre se alag kaise hain aur aap inme se kis train ka safar karte hain?
EMU train kya hoti hai?
EMU yaani Electric Multiple Unit ka istemaal bade shaharon mein kiya jata hai. Inka chalan Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata aur Chennai mein sabse zyada kiya jata hai. EMU train mein teen tarah ki car hoti hai, jismein pehli driving car, dusri motor ya power car aur teesri trailer car hoti hai. Driving car train ke dono taraf sabse aage bani hoti hai. Isi mein baithkar loco-pilot train ko chalate hain. Power car ki baat karein to yeh teen coach ke baad lagi hoti hai. Isme traction motor hoti hai. Wahin trailer car sirf yaatriyon ke liye hoti hai. In trains ki speed 60 se 100 kilometer tak ho sakti hai.
MEMU train kya hoti hai?
MEMU (Main Electric Multiple Unit) trains EMU se thodi alag aur advance hoti hain. Iske alawa yeh usse zyada powerful bhi hoti hain. MEMU trains ki speed normal se kaafi zyada hoti hai. Yeh aamtaur par 200 se zyada kilometer ki duri tay kar sakti hai. Is train ki sabse ajeeb baat yeh hoti hai ki isme toilet nahi hote. Memu trains mein power car har 4 coach ke baad hoti hai. Thode badlav ke saath memU trains lagbhag EMU trains ke jaise hi design ki gayi hain.
Diesel Multiple Unit (DEMU)
In trains ke naam se hi saaf hota hai ki inka chalan diesel se hota hai. Yeh train 3 prakar ki hoti hain, pehli diesel mechanical DEMU, dusri diesel hydraulic DEMU aur teesri diesel electric DEMU. In teenon mein hi har 3 coach ke baad ek power coach bana hota hai. In trains ko energy efficient train bhi kaha jata hai. DEMU trains ko lambe safar ke liye nahi banaya gaya hai. Agar in trains ka engine fail hota hai to inko badla nahi ja sakta hai.
