the Waltair division will be split, with one part becoming part of the new zone and the other becoming a new division. This development comes after the NDA government returned to power in Andhra Pradesh and Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu negotiated with Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the state's development, including this railway zone project. The project was originally announced in 2019 by the previous Railway Minister Piyush Goyal, and it will cover parts of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka.

Ye sab isliye ho raha hai kiyonki NDA government Andhra Pradesh mein waapas aaya hai aur CM Chandrababu Naidu PM Modi se state ke development ke liye baat kar rahe hain, aur ye railway zone bhi usme important hai. Hmm recently heard Railways has asked for better site since the one provided isn't good.. Now this all of a sudden so is the site issue sorted out ??

There is no news about alternate site in local page of Eenadu in the past 2 months. The earlier site allocated I'd not suitable for construction as it falls under Reservoir catchment area and doesn't have approach road and is blocked by another site.
