I completely agree .
Metro can do wonders in so called "tier 2 cities" , if the routes are meticulously picked , after proper research and analysis ; and adequate transport connectivity from/to metro stations is ensured (Poor- in case of Jaipur). It can aid in reducing traffic jams and reduce reliance on local bus operators and cabs . Also, I believe monetary loss cannot always be the 'sole criteria' of judging performance of a metro network .

Metro can totally rock in smaller cities, bro, if they plan the routes smartly and make sure there are good transport options to/from the stations (which is lacking in Jaipur, dude). It could really help with traffic and cut down on using buses and cabs. And, man, profits alone shouldn't be the only measure of how well a metro system is doing, you know what I mean?
please wait...Translate to HindiMain poori tarah se agree karta hoon. Metro "tier 2 cities" mein bohot zyada kaam kar sakta hai, agar routes ko dhyaan se chuna jaye, sahi research aur analysis ke baad; aur metro stations se proper transport connectivity ko ensure kiya jaye (Jaipur mein kharab hai). Ye traffic jams ko kam karne mein madad kar sakta hai aur local bus operators aur cabs par dependance ko kam kar sakta hai. Aur mujhe lagta hai ki paisa nuksan hamesha metro network ki performance ka 'ekmatra criteria' nahi ho sakta.
