They are largely non-responsive to a fast approaching object, and by the time they gauge the threat it's too late. Govt(s) in North India took the decision to close down slaughter houses (which is noble based on their popular religious beliefs & an article in the DPSP part of the constitution) but they should also have made arrangements (such as large farms) where the cattle could live. Anyone living in rural & urban North India would know the struggle of driving on roads, stray cattle eating up crops, frequent cattle run over incidents on railway tracks and such other similar things.
