Covid-19 Pandemic has adversely affected the financial condition of Railways, which have long term impact on the financial health of Railways. In spite of the above challenges, Indian Railways has continued concession in fare to only four categories of Divyangjan, eleven categories of Patients and Students. Cost of granting concessions weigh heavily on Railways, hence scope of concessions to all categories of passengers including Senior Citizens is not desirable at present.

Only special trains had same fare, the holiday specials or special fare specials had extra fare. Which still exists in case of suvidha specials.
All special traind were not having extra fare during lockdown, in SER CKP division I can say ADI exp was normal fare, CKP-HWH exp, CKP-ROU, CKO-Tata, CKP-GOMO MEMUs had normal fare always.
Yes they earned much from the remaining which they called holiday speciala, but they lost a lot from the general tickets, by converring them to 2S, only RS. 15-20 extra, but about 100-200 less passengers, as...
