Second Luggage, Guard and Divyang Compartment) coaches with new technology. The Jamalpur railway plant has been selected for its designing. After designing, after Eastern Railway, five coaches will be given to Danapur division to be built.
According to railway officials, the idea is to install these coaches in short distance trains only. This will be added to important trains as soon as instructions are received from the headquarters. After this, Eastern Railway is also preparing to bring such coaches. According to the Eastern Railway official, it is expected that this facility will be available in the next month itself.
Currently, these modern coaches will be ready in Asia's famous rail engine factory Jamalpur, apart from Kapurthala, Rae Bareli Modern Coach Factory and Intrigue Real Rail Coach Factory in Chennai. According to railway officials, two coaches will be installed in a train in front and back. Officials of Eastern Railway said that this facility will be available in short distance trains. This will be for the railroad where trains run by electricity.
The new coach will have more entrance width. Disabled passengers will be able to enter this coach directly through the wheel chair. In the new coach, they will be able to go to the toilet only by sitting on the wheel chair. The toilet gate will also be quite wide. Simultaneously, this modern coach will have a provision to keep the guard apart from the disabled passengers and their luggage. The new coach will be completely LHB. The seats of Divyang will be wide. This coach will also have a separate toilet for ordinary passengers.
The specialty of LSLRT coaches will be that the seating seats of the passengers will be higher than that of SLR coaches. These coaches will be replaced by SLR coaches at the front and rear of trains. Till now SLR coaches have a seating area for differently abled passengers and a brake vehicle was also arranged. The SLR consists of two parts. One has eight to 10 seats for differently abled passengers and the other part has 20 seats for ordinary passengers.
After installing LHB coaches prepared with new technology, it will not have diesel generator ie power car brake. Passenger seats will be increased instead. In this coach, the disabled will be given priority for traveling.
This modern designed coach will add 46 additional seats. 41 seats will be for general passengers. Six seats will be for differently abled passengers and four seats will be for attendants of differently abled passengers. With the installation of this coach, the diesel generator power brake will be removed. The trains will run from the Head of Generation.
