This is silly. A section of such systemic importance should have been laid double at the GC stage itself. Matter of fact, any new important railways project must have double line with provisioning of quadrupling as a thumb rule. Don't all Metro, NHSRCL routes begin on drawing board as a double line? It always becomes at least 10 times costlier to double a line than it was laid at. Mind well, at some sections it costed over 1000 times, excluding the land cost!!!
