Aesthetics and IR unfortunately dont go much hand in hand.

We need rough and tough design because people here destroy stuff at the drop of a hat. IR customers arent as careful as Europeans, so what we have decent enough.

I never said what we have are not decent. We do have flagship locos, but the aesthetics are always the single area where we are not even average, it is just poor. I agree that we need heavily built machinery for the rough and tough life in IR, but surely a little better aesthetics would not harm the built of the locos.

It is not only about care. The cost of ticket of 125km AT-Linz-St Pölten line in Austria is 12.9 euro = ₹1124. Are you really ready to pay that much. And even if you are, should we force Millions to do that.
So of course our needs are different and so is the look of our loco and coaches. We are developing nation and should think like one. One day when we have become developed nation then surely your arguments would be good.
