Analysis of the given report/data
(1) Gitanjali- 4th and 6th rank, Pushpak-10th and 4th. ASR-Katihar- 8th rank are the consistent performers.
(2) There are about 6 daily trains dedicated to Mumbai-Kolkata, and still a lot of rush is not desirable. Gitanjai Exp carries distinctly the highest number of paxs at 8.54 lacs. This train serves a large number of paxs from intermediate stations thereby making it overcrowded. Conveniently timed SF Trains from Korba/BSP/Tata/RNC to Mumbai and NGP to HWH are required to relieve Geetanjali and other perennially crowded trains like Mail &...

(3) Longest Waiting lists in 2016-17 for Delhi-Darbhanga/Barauni/Muzaffarpur route indicate that a SF train need to be introduced on the Delhi-Bihar route.
(4) Northeast and Awadh Assam exp have lost the ranks due to introduction of many trains on the routes in recent years including Rajdhanis.
(5) Similarly in Delhi-Bangalore sector, introduction of Two SKs, Daily Rajdhani etc has led to reduction in WL of Karnataka (Jump in air traffic is a smaller factor which take care of mainly ACII rail paxs).
(6) Jhelum/Goa Exp too have lost place due to introduction of a many new trains (10 per week) like KarnatakaSK, Duronto, ACSF etc
(7) HWH-SBC sector also need attention. Recently introduced HWH/KYQ-Bangalore H/S shall bridge the gap for ACIII, but other classes too should be taken care of.
