Well done bro, GREEN flag to the long distance (2575km) weekly train Vasco providing new connections between a large number of cities.
-
Although this weekly train (dep. on wed) take a longer time (46:15 hrs) than its competitor Vasco-HWH Amravathi exp (2122km 39:30hrs) operated 4 days per week (Vasco dep. on Su,Tu,Th,Fri), it is likely to be well patronised because:
(1) HWH-Durg-G-NGP-Akola...
more... (1390kms long) is already a high pax density route and Spl trains are often operated on HWH-Durg/G/Mumbai route.
(2) On the other end, it gives short and excellent overnight connection between Goa & Bagalkot/ Bijapur/ Solapur/ Latur/ Parbhani/Washim etc (1105 kms long)which otherwise are not connected by train
(3) It give longer connectivity of Goa to Akola/NGP/Durg/R/BSP/ROU/TATA/KGP but otherwise these cities are not connected to Goa. So large number of travellers shall use the direct and longer route and avoid changing train at BSL/MMR/Kalyan. HWH paxs willing to perform journey on this route on wednesday shall use this train as the faster train is not operated on the same day.
(4)Intra-Maharashtra traffic presently going by road mode may switch over to this train.
Rest of the areas are new connectivities, so traffic may be low in beginning which may pick up later on.
This weekly train shall definitely boost tourism of Goa and appears justified.
