as I had done before. Pnr ref no.6451516961. So took 2 waiting ticket in 22864 for me and my mother.
It finally got cnf the last day. Extremely happy. But wait the seats were MB,UB. Now my mother has knee problems and a senior citizen that she can't even lift her leg to step on an escalator. My brother told to talk to tte and make some arrangements.
Well finally boarded the train which arrived 13 mins late at kpd. The co-passenger adjusted to provide my mother a LB which the tte refused saying no berth available and u should consider yourself lucky that ur tkt got cnf.
If you travel the first basic thing you require the most is water. Now this acsf did not have a pantry and water was being sold by some other vendors. I took 2 bottles. I gave a 100/- rupee note and he returned 60/-. When enquired he told a bottle is of 20/-. Now the mrp was 15 and when i said this he told if you want then you have to pay otherwise return the bottle. The train had left RU and it's next halt was BZA, a 375 km stretch non stop. Majboori ka doosra naam ghandiji. Took it.
Now time came for dinner. Many passenger took from the vendor's in the train. Cost 70/-. Content : 2 chappati and subzi. Dear me. I was lucky that I had packed my food from kpd itself for 130/- which was more than sufficient for me and my mother.
Next morning woke up at around 9 am. Went to toilet. It was extremely dirty and water was also not available. Had to wait till KUR where it arrived 20 mins late. Toilets were cleaned and water re- filled. Freshened up had some light food. This train lacked OBHS.
Next stop was BBS. Needed drinking water. So gave a try at BBS pf. 4 bottles of water. 100/- note, return 20/-. Train mein to loot chal hi rahi thi ab bahar bhi.
Vendors came asking for lunch. I didn't gave the order as I had received my food from e-catering which was delivered at BBS. It was the best quality of food that I had ever tasted. Awesome and excellent.
Now the plight of my co-passengers. 120 for veg, 130 for egg thali,180 for chicken thali. Content: 2 roti,rice and aloo subzi for veg and egg or chicken for non - veg.
Misti doi and rabadi was being sold by vendors in the train. So thought of tasting it. Bought one pkt each. To my amazement doi was @ 15 but sold at 20 and rabadi @20 sold at 30/-. No option paid 50/- instead of 35/-.
The train was delayed post CTC and my hope of catching 12339 from hwh vanished very quickly. At KGP again 2 bottles at 40/-
When 22864 had passed SRC the coach attendant came for money as baksish. Had to give 30/-. The train arrived hwh at 17:58 where as ntes was showing that it had arrived @ 17:05.
20 mins left for 12341 departure from pf 12 whereas 22864 had arrived on pf 21. I had booked the tkt in 12341 in current booking and by the time I had arrived pf 12 it was time for train to leave. Managed with the huge rush at pf as well as in the train.
12341 run upto asn was awesome. It was ot by 12259 at panagarh very swiftly. Reached asn at 21:30. Now dhn memu was at 23:00 hrs. So decided to have dinner. I thought of buying a cold drink bottle. Coke 600 ml bottle with mrp 35/- was for 40/- and again water with mrp 15/- was for 20/-.
Finally my memu arrived at pf 3 of asn and I reached kmme at 23:45. Took and auto and reached home late night. That was the end of my journey.
Highlights of the entire journey.
1)whether it was Tamil nadu, andhra, odisha or Bengal every where plight was same of over charging. I strongly believe every state has same condition. Since my train passed through these states so I got a taste of these state.
2) lack of pantry car and giving a particular train to one thekedaar and you are left with no options.
3) no OBHS for acsf which runs such a long distance and people paying high prices for cnf seats.
4) I don't understand for what reason are we paying service tax for this pathetic service.
5) never ever can u rely on trains punctuality and sufficient buffer time has to be given for next connecting trains.
Moral: EXTORTION at its highest peak. Passengers are the people with money who can be butchered at any place,any state and by any vendors.
