All things said kept aside, I strongly feel that GWL and FDB should be added to the stoppages of VB just because of their potential to add a huge chunk of passengers to the train. GGN, FDB and GZB should be stoppages for all the major trains of National Capital Territory on their respective routes. Would be extremely beneficial for the passengers.

BSB-GAYA-PNBE-HWH would never be a feasible option due to extra time required. 1 day return would never be possible, 2 rakes would be required and won't be preferred by end to end passengers at all. Rather if 2 rakes are going to be used them it would be much better to run a HWH-PNBE VB with a schedule of 6 hrs or under and a HWH-BSB VB via GAYA with a schedule of 8-8.5 hrs.

Yes this is the only possible one day return route, but the train would probably be much faster than this imaginary train. End to end in 7.5 hrs would be quite achievable imo.

Brother even HWH Rajdhani covers HWH-DDU in 7 hr 55 mins, with mostly BT arrivals at DHN and GAYA, have travelled many times and seen myself. Given proper run, VB would easily cover the section in close to 7 hrs n 15 mins (HWH-DDU)

The heritage train was recently refurbished na? And even a Vistadome coach was made for this train, and now that all would be on the chopping board with not even 5 years of running. Gross mismanagement of funds...

Maybe because the route looks beautiful during monsoon and post monsoon periods, and has the most number of passengers... Only a guess though.

SBC and YPR are there for northern and western trains, SMVB is probably going to accomodate trains arriving from Bangarapet and Hosur side. Though a few other trains might go to SMVT to decongest YPR and SBC

The traffic point is true, but I don't think Railways is ever going to agree to all the originating/terminating trains touching atleast 2 terminals, it would create unnecessary extra congestion for them, which they would definitely not agree to. I think connecting SMVB with metro is the only way we are going to see all stations be connected together.

Well it would all improve later on hopefully. As someone said an overbridge connecting SMVB to Baiyappanahalli metro would be good. Even better would be to provide a moving walkway similar to the ones found on the airport, considering the distance involved. Metro rail system is the future of intracity travel, and SMVB needs to be connected somehow to it. Even Kempegowda Airport needs to be connected with the metro rail system. Bengaluru is already the third largest city of India and is only going to expand, hence any investment on an effective public transport system is going to go a long way to ease the life of the inhabitants. If SMVB is not connected to metro system KJM would become even more popular for travellers as it is soon going to have a metro station close by.

Does this mean the train would run from GNC or would they run the train from ADI and PM would inaugurate the train from Gandhinagar via video conferencing ?
