Kulem and food is served at Dharwad. Night - Chicken/Egg/Veg Curry Chapati, Veg/Chicken Dum Biryani, Order is taken at Davangere And food is offered at Arsikere. Quality if food is between average to good. Or if you want south Indian like Idli/Dosa/Sheera/Upma, as the train halts at Arsikere for 10 minutes and mostly as it comes before time, time will be sufficient for buying food from the caterers from Platform 1. Next Day morning, Vendors will be selling Idli-Vada/Dosa/Poori in between Karur and Tiruchchirapalli Jn. Or, The train arrives platform 1 at Tiruchirapalli Jn around 8 am and halts for more than 30 minutes, you can avail variety of breakfast at Neethus kitchen; ➡️ E-Catering is available at MAO, UBL, HVR, DVG & TPJ.

March 2024. East Coast Railway is adding an AC Three-tier coach to trains 12845 (Bhubaneshwar-Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal Bengaluru) and 12846 (Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal Bengaluru-Bhubaneshwar) for periods in March and April 2024. North Western Railway is adding an AC Three-tier coach to trains 14806 (Barmer-Yesvantpur) and 14805 (Yesvantpur-Barmer) for periods in March 2024. Additionally, SWR is converting Train Nos. 17315/17316 Vasco Da Gama-Velankanni-Vasco Da Gama Weekly Express from conventional to Linke Hofmann Busch (LHB) rakes from March 4th and 5th, 2024, respectively. This will involve a change in the train's coach composition, including AC Two-tier, AC Three-tier, AC Three tier economy class, Sleeper Class, General Second Class, and Luggage cum Brake-vans with Generator Car.

Before covid it had RSA with train no. 17311/12 VSG MAS weekly express which is now running upto UBL only. SWR in RTI reply said they will extend it back to VSG after 2nd pitline at VSG is commissioned.
So making this train biweekly will require a second LHB rake. Also a pantry car should be added to this train.

It will be extended back to VSG once second pitline is commissioned and pre covid RSA will be established. Also now the rake of this train simply idles at SVM and VSG for 4 days.
