Lalit Kumar Singh Gaur 388 blog postsIt is the best place to buy 2 litre water bottles at rs 20/- I have checked the water bottle is sealed !!! Don't buy from irctc service counters as thy are going to charge 15rs for 1litre water bottle.
buying 20 rupees/2ltr bottle is strictly no no as per you say...they are unsealed....and sometimes filled from pipe water.... its a scam
20 rs mein 2 ltr pani bilkul nah ha bhai ...bahar se bhartey hoge pakka seal ka kya ha woh lag jati ha....aur irctc counter me rs 15 kharchey ache hai

Retiring Room booking at New Jalpaiguri is available online now, but the ac rooms are filty, false ceiling hanging n passengers sleeping in the corridor in the night is very noisy. I recommend retiring rooms (Non Ac) but spacious, clean at Siliguri which can be booked online too.

All amenities are on the platform 1. Food plaza is in the mid portion, beside Jan Ahar. Cloak room (I was charged rs. 15 for one luggage for 2 hours, don't know the whole rate structure) near the end of the platform (Kolkata side).
2nd class and higher class waiting rooms are there too. Sitting arrangement is on the platform along with enough numbers of charging points.
Cold drinking water machine is present.
