To be Honest, this train doesnot deserve the category of Sampark Kranti. Its just a clone of Sealdah Rajdhani with Sleeper class.

Compared to Sampark kranti of Other states this train has 3 halts in West Bengal, whereas sampark kranti of all south Indian states(KA,TN,KL,AP,OD) have more than 5 halts in their own state , Sampark kranti of North Indian states(UP,UK,BR,JH,AS,MP,RJ) have 5 or more than 5 halts in their own state.

Gujarat have 2 Sampark krantis i.e 6+1=7 halts in MH , Gujarat SK(both) 5+3=8 halts in Gujarat .

Azimganj Junction Station has all the necessary infrastructure to run a train from any station. In Howrah division, Azimganj Junction station has the best infrastructure after Howrah station. The infrastructure in Azimganj Junction is mentioned below-

Now the question is, why is there no long-distance express train running from Azimganj Junction despite having so much infrastructure? Two express trains(13017/18 Ganadevta express and 13027/28 Kaviguru express) start and end their journey from this station. But their PM is done at Howrah jheel siding. This infrastructure at Azimganj Junction used for PM of ICF rakes of 16 passenger trains(originated at Azimganj Junction).

Azimganj Junction is one of the most important stations of Howrah Division. Four route lines-(1.KWAE-BDC-HWH; 2.NFK-MLDT-NJP-GHY; 3.NHT-RPH-BWN and 4.newly MBB-KNJ-RHA-SDAH) converge at this station. But despite all this, it seems that the railway could not use this station properly. Several long distance trains could be run from this station. As from Malda. This would have greatly reduced the dependence of the people of Nadia, Murshidabad and Birbhum districts, which are dominated by migrant workers, patients, tourists on Howrah station for traveling outside West Bengal.
