A journey by the 12223 Duronto Express till Mangaluru.

It's been slowed down by an hour but still runs late by 1-2 hours. Food is average. Tickets are usually waitlisted upto Mangaluru but wait for the current booking to open and there will always be 200+ vacant seats in total. However, prices will be high after chart preparation due to dynamic fare.

Cleanliness was alright. It no longer gets the priority it used to get earlier and is halted for several crossings. Despite a 110kmph WAP4 hauling the train, it kept maintaining a delay of 90 minutes at Ratnagiri, Madgaon and Mangaluru Junction. After Mangaluru Junction, it crawls behind the Coimbatore Intercity but reaches Ernakulam ontime due to heavy slack.
