This has eased the burden of carrying cash for passengers and reduced the risk of handling large sums of money. Since its launch on June 6th, the railway has collected ₹26.42 lakh in June, ₹26.40 lakh in July, ₹37.77 lakh in August, and ₹42.83 lakh in September through QR code payments. This initiative promotes digital payment options for rail passengers. The Divisional Railway Manager, Ashwini Kumar, has encouraged passengers to utilize QR codes for digital ticket payments.
