also requested that the Salaiya railway station be renamed to Pachumba railway station. The committee president Prabhat Bagedia and secretary Irfan Alam informed about this. They stated that a stop at Salaiya railway station would benefit a population of around 50,000 in the surrounding area. Currently, the Intercity Express train stops at New Giridih railway station, which is about 15 km away from Pachumba.
