Earlier there were no footpath on the bridge and people used to cross the river through this bridge as the way through the nearest road bridge is a bit longer. Always people blamed Railways for accidents, which should have not been. However now Railways have built footpaths on both the up and down lines, still if someone faces any accidents no one else can be blamed.
