Will be applicable on tickets booked on ( not journeys made) or after 1st June or even July. The exact date will be made public through a govt gazette after the budget is approved by the Parliament.

For every rs 1000 AC ticket, you would be paying rs 5 more. I hope that explains things.

Please recall first time Service Tax was introduced, and date of implementation was not w.e.f first april. and further collecting by TTE too was abandonded, but IR paid the money to Finance Minitery .. here too it is just difference of service tax , very little money IR will part ...
