This new Blore to Karwar cuts down on travel time, which is good. However Mysore people lost the connectivity to Coastal Karnataka. Let a new train exclusively from Mysore to Karwar/Mumbai run in Day time.

Currently to connect two places within State, infra is not good , train takes circuitous route and consumes more time. Thus people prefer bus over train. Not many direct routes available, for ex. to run chickmagalur to hubli, loco reversal required, instead shud have bypass line, like wise there are many such challenges.

There is a four lane proj also pending between Cantt and whitefield, so renovation and upgrade is must and should have atleast 4 long platforms apart from sidelines.

Intercity Exp is a welcome move, however Vijayapura to Delhi via UBL will be circutarious, instead let it go via Solapur/Daund.
Alternatively, Bellary to New Delhi via GADAG/UBL will be good option.
