Yes. SR cannot have it's jurisdiction from east coast Chennai to west coast Mangalore. Let them leave Mangalore to SWR. Let them concentrate on TN and KL.

See This SR must have MAS, SA, TPJ, MDU, PGT & TVC Divisions.
PGT Division will not have MAQ/MAJN.
SWR will get a new Mangalore Division with Hassan-Mangalore Line & Mangalore-Madgaon Line of KR. Madgaon-Panvel Line of KR must be shifted to CR Mumbai Division. KR must be split & merged with SWR & CR.

All suggestions are extremely resourceful. A brief summary :-

MAQ/MJN should be separated from PGT(SR). Either a new division is carved straightaway or keep MAJN/MAQ under MYS (SWR) until a new division is carved out .
Simultaneously, KRCL can be absorbed into IR by splitting between SWR and CR . Mangaluru -Karwar- Madgaon should be given to the Newly carved Mangaluru division

Some new lines that are expected to see light in near future like Kadur – Chikkamagaluru – Belur shall also come under the mangaluru division.

These people are over reacting. When nig stations like BZA, BRC are getting bypassed what's wrong in this. Only thing is a proper connectivity must be established to GDG bypass

The main trains which have good footfalls and connected within the state like GolGumbaz should be not be diverted when the bypass station is not centrally located and convenient in the towns and cities.
In Vijayawada the trains are diverted only in night which don't have any requirement from public in that section(short distance within AP) and only 2 weekly trains are only diverted.

If proper connectivity (public transport) to that city is ensured from that byepassing station, then byepass should not be an issue i guess. be it podanur, Gadag byepass, rayanapadu, etc..

Existing trains are required to run via Gadag. New trains can be via bypass. For example, if new Hubli Gulbarga or Vijayapura Mysore or Solapur Vasco are introduced, they can go via bypass
