Know abt the manual signal thing as it has outer problems. But the crowd is definetly 50% of Cnb. Not sure for freight as hardly seen any during journeys in Ddn- bsb. while Cnb route is overloaded with freight. Fr passenger train section MB has traffic from Delhi, Asr, Ddn side mostly while Ddn load is insignificant. Dli + umb makes bulk of it and Lko on the other.

As per this link some 23 daily trains rest weekly bi tri and slots in a way to fit each other TT....
more... Eg: 12318,12358,12326 combined 5 days a week.Lko is crowded no doubt and badly needs automatic signalling but MB isnt saturated to extent.
